Corporate Responsibility

Our efforts focus on long-term sustainable success and the assumption of social responsibility. Therefore, the business activities and the corporate development of VUM Verfahren Umwelt Management GmbH are supported by an integrated management system, which is based on recognized principles. We have been operating certified management systems according to international standards for many years.

The IMS implemented at VUM is based on the following normative principles:

  • Quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015
  • Environmental management system according to ISO 14001:2015
  • Occupational safety and health management system according to ISO 45001:2018

The integrated management system helps us to achieve our goals and to continuously improve our performance in terms of quality of work, environmental impact and occupational safety. Following our sustainable and holistic approach, we have taken into account essential elements of ISO 26000 (“Guidelines on the social responsibility of organizations”) in our management system and are, thus, actively pursuing the achievement of the goals for a sustainable future (Sustainable Development Goals).

VUM’s efforts to contribute to sustainable development were awarded “Platinum” status by the rating agency EcoVadis in 2022. This makes VUM one of the top 1% of sustainable companies in our industry. The assessment included issues of environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

In addition, in 2022, we were awarded the EFK certificate for sustainability by the Carinthian Energy Forum (EFK) for our products, services and corporate philosophy.

We also demonstrate our acceptance of social responsibility by actively supporting the work of the militia. Therefore, the Federal Ministry of Defense awarded us the seal of quality for the militia.
